All grant requests must be submitted through the Foundation’s online application. We support only 501(c)(3) organizations, and do not provide funding to individuals or politically partisan groups. Please review our Funding Priorities for more information about the types of organizations and geographies we support.
APPLY FOR A GRANTIf you are a current grantee, please skip to the Grant Application section below.
Organizations who are not current grantees should submit an LOI as the first step in the grant application process. This applies to any organization that is new to the Foundation or whose last grant was awarded before 2020.
Timing: LOI may be submitted at any time and are reviewed weekly. Organizations may submit once per calendar year. If you wish to be considered for a specific grant application deadline, please submit your LOI at least 6 weeks beforehand. LOI received near or after a grant deadline will be considered for funding in the following quarter. Accordingly, LOI submitted in September or after will be considered for the following calendar year.
After careful review of each LOI, the Foundation will let applicants know whether they should submit a full grant application.
PREVIEW THE LOI PREVIEW THE NEW APPLICANTCurrent grantees may skip the LOI process and proceed directly to a grant application. For 2023, this applies to organization that received grants in 2020, 2021, or 2022.
Timing: Organizations may apply once per calendar year. Applications received after these dates will be considered in the next quarter. Please note that all 2023 deadlines are Wednesdays.
Q1 Deadline: January 11, 2023
Q2 Deadline: April 12, 2023
Q3 Deadline: July 12, 2023
Q4 Deadline: October 11, 2023
These dates will be updated in Fall 2023 with our 2024 deadlines. Immediately following the Q4 deadline, we will activate the next year’s application.
